Back in October of 2021 I did a quick portrait session of this couple at the State Fair Of Texas. They recently reached back out and booked a family portrait session for Christmas. I ended up making lots of great photos of this beautiful family. It’s such an honor to work with clients who appreciate your work and keep coming back for more.
Here are a few images from when I had my studio back in Longview.
Action shots are my favorite, even in the studio.
I like how it brings a whole other element to a portrait.
A while back I was killing some time and I was playing with the Snapseed app. If you are not familiar with that app, it’s basically a photo editor.
I’ve been mostly a portrait photographer over the years, however, for the last five or six years I’ve really started photographing anything I find interesting.
So while playing with Snapseed I combined portraits with other images I’ve taken and here are the results.
Earlier this year I joined a single parents group on Facebook to connect with others who are in similar situations raising children. Recently I got asked by a lady in the group if I would do a Halloween shoot with a group of ladies who are in a single working moms group. I agreed.
This was a super fun photo shoot and I met some very awesome ladies. Before we wrapped up the shoot they suggested I get a photo with all of them. That’s actually something that I’ve been wanting to do with all of my clients but ends up slipping my mind. I’m glad I got this photo with them.
I recently booked a shoot with Just Dance Customs, a company that designs and makes custom dance wear. Studio shoots are my favorite and it had been a while since I’ve shot any studio work. We rented a local studio in Hurst, Texas called The Covenant Studio. This was such a fun shoot and these were great people to work with.
So after investing in the Fuji XT 10 system I ended up with 4 lenses: the 18-55, 55-200, 60mm f2.8 macro, and a samyang 12mm. I had this system for about a year and a half and I had to reluctantly sell it to pay off some bills. I do miss the system and I’d buy into the Fuji system again if I could justify it or had the opportunity. Here are more images that I made while I had that camera.
And here is more from the Fuji x20…
A few from a recent graduation portrait session.
